Biography

Rebecca Zorach is the Mary Jane Crowe Professor in the Department of Art History at Northwestern University. Her expertise centers on early modern European art ranging from the 15th to the 17th century, and she has a significant focus on contemporary activist art from the 1960s and 1970s. Zorach is particularly interested in print media, feminist queer theory, representation, and the works of African American artists, exploring various intersections of art and politics.
