Biography

Rebekah Modrak is an artist, writer, and educator focusing on the intersections of art, activism, and critical design. She employs her internet-based artworks to critically analyze brand messaging and consumer culture. As the creator of Re Made Co., she critiques appropriation and revitalization of working-class identities through a faux online company. Modrak serves as a Professor at the Stamps School of Art at the University of Michigan, holding both a BFA from the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University and an MFA from Syracuse University's Department of TransMedia.
