Biography

Professor Regine Keller focuses on contemporary landscape architecture and the development of public spaces. Her work addresses the challenges of modern urban environments, including resource issues, climate change, and the preservation of historical monuments. At the core of her research is the idea that the quality of life for both humans and other species should guide the design of urban spaces. She has studied Art History and Theater Studies at LMU Munich and completed her education in Landscape Architecture at TUM. In addition to her teaching and research roles, she has served as Vice President for Academic Affairs and is currently the Head of the Department of Architecture at the School of Engineering and Design. Her commitment to the field has been recognized with various awards, including the Pro Meritis Scientiae et Litterarum prize from the Bavarian State Ministry of Sciences, Research, and Arts.
