Dr. Remei Capdevila Werning

Biography

Remei Capdevila Werning is a Lecturer in the Department of Philosophy at Harvard University. She serves as the Burr Resident Dean at Harvard College, specifically in Winthrop House. Remei's academic journey includes earning a Ph.D. from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona and a Master of Science in Architecture Studies focusing on History, Theory, and Criticism of Architecture and Art from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She has taught at various institutions including the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and Oberlin College. Additionally, she has held the position of Director of Education and Public Programs at El Museo del Barrio in New York City. Her research interests delve into Aesthetics, philosophical issues related to architecture, and the preservation of geoheritage, reflecting her commitment to integrating philosophical inquiry with practical applications in architecture and the arts.
