Renan C. Castillo, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. He conducts research focusing on health services concerning trauma outcomes and has extensive experience in multi-institutional trauma studies. Dr. Castillo’s research interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, pain management, self-management interventions, structural equation modeling, and trauma outcomes. He has published extensively on topics such as rehabilitation outcomes for trauma patients, predictors of clinical recovery, and the impact of demographic factors on patient satisfaction and functional outcomes. Castillo has collaborated with clinicians to enhance assessment methods, including sports medicine evaluations and imaging techniques for severe trauma.
