Biography

René Schwok is an honorary professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at the University of Geneva, where he also served as Director of the Geneva School of International and Development Studies from 2015 to 2019. He has held leadership roles in several Master's programs, including European Studies, Advanced Studies in International Security, and Global Security and Conflict Resolution. Additionally, he has been a Jean Monnet Chair in Political Science and a Research Fellow at the Geneva Center for Security Policy (GCSP). He earned his Doctorate from the Geneva Graduate Institute and completed part of his training at Harvard's Center for European Studies and the Institute for European History in Mainz.
