Renée’s research emphasizes organizational design problems and inefficient governance mechanisms, highlighting the role of selection in understanding corporate leaders. Her work intersects economics, finance, management, and psychology, with recent focuses on gender in leadership and boardroom diversity policies. Renée has also served as Editor for Management Science and held various roles in academic service, including being a convenor of the Finance Research Network (FIRN) for five years and co-founding AFFECT, the American Finance Association's committee for women.
