Biography

Renu Anupindi is a child and adolescent psychiatrist practicing in the Austin area since 2006. Anupindi completed her general psychiatry training and subsequent child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Ascension Seton, within the Austin Medical Education Program. Her clinical experience encompasses a wide range of psychopathologies in children and adolescents including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, and neurodevelopmental disorders. She is also well-versed in addressing the psychosocial challenges encountered in the treatment and management of children in foster care. Anupindi is actively engaged in both local and national medical psychiatric communities, currently serving as a consultant for the Medical Legislation Committee of the Travis County Medical Society. In recognition of her outstanding contributions to the field of child psychiatry, she has been honored with the Distinguished Fellow Award from the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Since her graduation, she has remained involved in teaching and supervising general child psychiatry residents as an affiliate faculty member at both the Austin Medical Education Program and the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. In her personal time, Anupindi enjoys yoga, learning Indian classical music, reading literature, and traveling the world.
