Biography

Reshma Menon is a lecturer at Harvard School of Dental Medicine in the Department of Oral Medicine, Infection, Immunity. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree from Sri Ramachandra University in India. After completing a fellowship year in oral medicine and orofacial pain at New York University College of Dentistry, she received a certificate in oral diagnostic sciences. Menon completed her postgraduate training at Harvard, earning a certificate in oral maxillofacial pathology and a Doctor of Medical Sciences degree in oral biology. Throughout her residency, she was honored with the prestigious James H. Shaw award and the Gorlin award from the American Academy of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology (AAOMP). Menon became a diplomate of the American Board of Oral Maxillofacial Pathology and currently serves on the AAOMP fellowship committee. Her academic research interests include oral premalignancy and cancer, with a specific focus on the signaling pathways of oral squamous cell carcinoma. In addition to her research, Menon mentors dental students on various related projects and continues to contribute to the academic literature through her manuscripts.
