Generate a tailored SOP for Dr. Reza Abbasi. Improve your application with a focused, well-structured draft.
Reza currently serves as a Lecturer (Teaching) in Digital Manufacturing Advanced Materials at University College London, responsible for module(s) in the MSc programme hosted by the Manufacturing Futures Lab, UCL East. He is a former Post Doctoral Research Fellow working on a project entitled “Process systems engineering approach to catalytic process design,” collaborating with a group of scientists from the UK Catalysis Hub, University of Leeds, University of Durham, and University of Oxford. This project aims to transform the philosophy of catalyst design by linking catalyst development to process design, taking a holistic view of overall processing steps, reactors, separation units, and interconnections. The objective is to guide the chemical route of catalyst selection for selected processes and to implement approaches in a wider context, thereby challenging traditional catalytic process development methods. Reza obtained his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Malaya, focusing on advanced process modelling and intelligent control of ethylene polymerization in fluidized bed reactors. He also holds a Master’s degree from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia in process optimization and integration of water and energy networks, alongside a Bachelor of Engineering from Azad University, Iran, in Chemical Engineering.
