Professor Dr. Reza Fathifazl

Biography

Reza Fathifazl is an Adjunct Professor within the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Ottawa. He holds a Ph.D. from Carleton University and has a strong background in engineering with an M.Sc. from the University of Science and Technology in Iran and a B.Sc. from the University of Guilan in Iran. His research interests primarily focus on Infrastructure Sustainability, Resiliency, and Sustainable Construction Materials. He is well-versed in Structural Design and Concrete Structures, alongside Experimental Material Science and Mechanics. His expertise also extends to Computational Concrete Material Science and Mechanics, Seismic Risk Assessment, Mitigation of Building Structures, and Climate Resilient Infrastructure. Prof. Fathifazl's work is dedicated to improving material science and engineering methodologies to enhance the durability and sustainability of infrastructure projects.
