Biography

Reza Sabzevari is an Associate Professor at TU Delft, specializing in robotics perception. He leads the p4MARS Lab, an interdisciplinary research group focused on Perception AI in manufacturing and robotics for space applications. Prior to joining TU Delft, he worked as a senior scientist at Bosch Research within the Bosch Centre for Artificial Intelligence (BCAI) in Germany. He founded x.Lab, a platform for experimenting with robotic perception algorithms. Reza has contributed to various innovative projects and has multiple patents to his name. He earned his Ph.D. in 3D Computer Vision from the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) and the University of Genoa in Italy in 2013. During his doctoral studies, he spent a year as a postdoctoral researcher affiliated with the Robotics Perception Group (RPG) at ETH Zurich and collaborated with the Technologies Vision group at Fondazione Bruno Kessler in Trento, Italy. His research interests include geometric semantic scene understanding, active perception, and distributed perception, particularly in the context of robotics, manufacturing, and space domains.
