Biography

Reza Sedaghat is a Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hannover, Germany. He joined the university in 2001 and was promoted to Professor in 2012. He is the founder and director of the Optimization Problems Research Applications Laboratory (OPRAL), which has received funding from several organizations, including Sun Microsystems and the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. Sedaghat has extensive industrial experience, having collaborated with prominent companies such as Nokia, Robert Bosch GmbH, and Infineon. His current research interests encompass cryptanalysis, cross-layer design optimization, attack immunity, combinatorial optimization problems, the quadratic assignment problem, and graph algorithms.
