Biography

Rhian M. Touyz is the Executive Director and Chief Scientific Officer at the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre and holds the Dr. Phil Gold Chair in Medicine. A passionate mentor, she has trained many PhD and MD students who have successful academic careers. Her research primarily focuses on understanding mechanisms of hypertension and target organ damage, delivering impactful clinical outcomes. Dr. Touyz has published over 575 peer-reviewed papers and is involved in various advisory boards worldwide, shaping the field of hypertension and cardiovascular medicine.
