Biography

Rhonda Kline is the Director of Collaborative Piano at the University of Washington's School of Music. An accomplished and versatile pianist, she has been described as a 'tour de force piano' (Klarinet). Her international career includes a notable residency at the American University of Sharjah near Dubai and a recital tour with Metropolitan Opera soprano Joyce Guyer, performing in cities such as Florence, Budapest, and Kyiv. Currently, she engages in music direction for one-act operas for local composer Sterling Tinsley and online presentations with Tacoma Opera. Her performance credits also include Mozart's Requiem, arranged for piano duet in collaboration with pianist Emily Gantt. Rhonda finds joy in nurturing emerging talents through her role as general director and music director at Northwest Opera Schools, Etc. (N.O.I.S.E.), an educational program that serves elementary schools and retirement communities across Washington state. During summer months, she is a pianist coach for Canta Italia, focusing on opera and Italian culture. Rhonda’s expertise spans operatic coaching with a repertoire of over 60 titles, including traditional operas, contemporary works, and musical theater.
