Dr. Rianne Warsen

Biography

Rianne Warsen is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Public Administration and Sociology at Erasmus University Rotterdam. She teaches courses at both undergraduate and master's levels, including the Dutch master's track 'Publiek Management' and the international master track 'Urban Governance'. Her research focuses primarily on public-private partnerships, with a specific interest in the interplay between contractual and relational aspects of inter-organizational collaboration, trust, and public sector performance. As part of her PhD work, she was involved in the project 'Governance Smartening Public Private Partnerships' under the NWO Smart Governance programme. This project aims to explore smart governance solutions employed by public, private, and societal actors to fulfill new roles within governance structures related to public-private partnerships. Her research endeavors seek to provide insights and incentives for actors to enhance performance in public-private partnerships, thereby realizing the potential of collaborative practices.
