Biography

Richard Bercik is an Associate Professor in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology & Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine. He specializes in female pelvic floor disorders, urinary incontinence, and pelvic organ prolapse. Bercik obtained his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New York University-Bellevue Medical Center. He has extensive experience in vaginal, laparoscopic, and abdominal reconstructive procedures for conditions such as urinary incontinence and pelvic organ prolapse. As a Co-Director of the Urogynecology/Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery service at Yale, he oversees clinical research focused on new treatment modalities for pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. Bercik has also served on the faculty at NYU-Bellevue, where he instructed residents and fellows in advanced gynecologic surgery and pelvic reconstructive procedures. He is recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is Board-Certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
