Richard Bribiescas is a Professor in the Department of Ecology & Evolutionary Biology at Yale University. He holds a B.A. in Anthropology and Psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, as well as an A.M. and Ph.D. in Anthropology from Harvard University. Prior to his current position, he served as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow in the Reproductive Endocrine Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. His notable research encompasses evolutionary biology, endocrinology, human comparative life histories, reproduction, aging, and metabolism. Professor Bribiescas has conducted extensive field research with the Ache people in Paraguay and various populations in Venezuela, Japan, Ecuador, and the United States, focusing on species of non-human primates. He is currently collaborating with Professors Larry Sugiyama and Josh Snodgrass from the Department of Anthropology at the University of Oregon, as well as Professor Felicia Madimenos from the Department of Anthropology at Queen’s College, CUNY, on the Shuar Health Life History Project in Ecuador.
