Dr. Richard Bryant

Biography

Scientia Professor Richard Bryant is a distinguished academic in the School of Psychology at the University of New South Wales. He received his Bachelor of Arts with honors from the University of Sydney in 1983, followed by a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Macquarie University in 1986. In 1989, he completed his Ph.D. at Macquarie University and was later awarded a Doctor of Science degree from UNSW in 2016. His research focuses on critical areas of mental health including posttraumatic stress disorder, prolonged grief disorder, and cognitive-behavior therapy. He has contributed significantly to global mental health initiatives and is actively involved in clinical trials aimed at improving psychological interventions. Professor Bryant's expertise is widely recognized, and he is a key contributor to advancing knowledge in the field of psychology.
