Biography

Richard Cheung received his B.A.Sc., M.A.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Toronto. He has been teaching at Toronto Metropolitan University since 1989 and has worked as a Research Engineer at Ontario Hydro. An active consultant in the electricity utilities and power industry since 1990, Dr. Cheung has completed 20 major projects and has built 4 special-purpose power converters for Ontario utilities in the mining industry. He also manufactured a solar-energy converter and has been a licensed Professional Engineer since 1987.
