Biography

Richard Dennis gained his PhD from the Australian National University in 2001. Prior to joining the University of Glasgow, he worked at the Australian National University and the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco. He currently serves as an associate editor for the European Economic Review. His research interests place him within the Macroeconomics research cluster, with areas of expertise including Monetary Policy, Business Cycles, Time-Inconsistency, Quantitative Theory, and Model Uncertainty. He has been involved in projects such as 'Time-consistent macroeconomic policy with nonlinear models,' funded by the Australian Research Council. This project spanned from 2013 to 2015 with a grant of A$156,000, which was relinquished upon his move to the United Kingdom. Dennis has also supervised graduate work in Macroeconomic Theory and Monetary Policy, focusing on topics like Monetary Policy Inequality and the role of Behavioral Expectations. In addition to his editorial work, he is a co-director of the Macroeconomic Policy Frameworks Program at the Center for Applied Macroeconomic Analysis.
