Richard Frayne is a Professor in the Department of Radiology at the University of Calgary, where he holds a position as Deputy Director of the Hotchkiss Brain Institute and is an associate member of the Libin Cardiovascular Institute. Dr. Frayne completed his BASc in Electrical Engineering at the University of Waterloo in 1989, followed by a PhD in Medical Biophysics from the University of Western Ontario in 1994. He later completed a post-doctoral fellowship in Medical Physics and Radiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His research interests include the application of imaging technologies in clinical settings, including the imaging of concussion and epilepsy, and he has successfully commercialized 20 international patents in this field.
