Biography

Richard Khoury obtained his Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Laval University (Quebec, QC) in 2002 and 2004, respectively, and his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Waterloo (Waterloo) in 2007. From 2008 to 2016, he served as an assistant professor and then associate professor at the Software Engineering Department at Lakehead University. In 2016, he moved to Laval University, where he currently holds the position of associate professor. From 2021 to 2023, he also served as president of the Canadian Artificial Intelligence Association. His research interests are in data mining and natural language processing, including knowledge management, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.
