Biography

Richard Lopata is a Full Professor at Eindhoven University of Technology, leading the PULS/e lab (Photoacoustics & Ultrasound Laboratory). Throughout his career, he has built strong collaborations with clinical partners to ensure the effective translation of innovative technologies from the laboratory to clinical practice. Richard's educational background includes a Master's degree in Biomedical Engineering and a PhD from Radboud University. He has contributed significantly to research with over 100 peer-reviewed articles and has supervised numerous MSc and PhD students. His work aims to replace hazardous imaging methods with safe, ultrasound-based solutions to improve patient care outcomes.
