Biography

Richard B. Moss is a Professor Emeritus in Pediatrics at Stanford University, specializing in Pediatric Pulmonology with extensive experience in Allergy and Immunology. He completed his undergraduate education at Columbia University with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science, followed by a medical degree from SUNY Downstate College of Medicine. He served as the Chief of the Allergy-Immunology divisions from 1991 to 1996 and directed the Cystic Fibrosis Center at Stanford from 1991 to 2009. As an accomplished researcher, his work has significantly contributed to the understanding of chronic airway diseases in children, particularly focusing on allergic fungal lung disease and cystic fibrosis. Dr. Moss has reviewed for numerous national and international foundations and has been an active member of the Stanford Child Health Research Institute as well as the NIH clinical research program. His research interests revolve around immunopathogenesis, aerosol therapy, and the development of novel treatments for chronic respiratory diseases in pediatric populations.
