Biography

In 2007, Richard Sejean completed his M.Sc. at the John Molson School of Business (JMSB) with a specialization in Consumer Psychology. He has held management positions in leading organizations within the Consumer Packaged Goods sector, such as L’ORÉAL, and in Omni-channel Retail, exemplified by his work with Browns. Richard is the founder of a marketing consulting practice named STEP, which assists companies at various stages of growth in digital marketing and e-commerce to drive profitable growth. With these experiences, he has come to appreciate that business professionals and consumers are, above all, human beings, and understanding the psychology behind buying decisions is key to succeeding in various business areas. As a lecturer at JMSB, he aims to make learning about Business Marketing enjoyable and engaging by contextualizing theoretical material with practical applications and sparking discussions rooted in real industry experiences. His ultimate goal is to equip JMSB business graduates with the tools and perspectives necessary to achieve their greatest potential and make a positive impact in business and society.
