Biography

Richard B. Silverman is a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at Northwestern University. He received his B.S. from Pennsylvania State University in 1968 and his Ph.D. from Harvard University in 1974. His research focuses on the rational design and synthesis of potential medicinal agents, particularly in the context of central nervous system disorders such as amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinson’s disease.
