Biography

Rick Bhatia is a Clinical Professor in the Department of Radiology at Memorial University of Newfoundland. He completed his undergraduate medical education at McMaster University in 1991. Following this, he commenced his postgraduate training in Diagnostic Radiology at Memorial University, where he attained the designation of Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 1996. After completing his residency, Dr. Bhatia furthered his training with a Fellowship in Thoracic Mammographic Imaging at McMaster University from 1996 to 1997. He is currently a staff radiologist and serves as the Clinical Chief of the Diagnostic Imaging Program at Eastern Health, practicing at the General Hospital site. Alongside his busy clinical career, Dr. Bhatia is actively involved in administration and participates in pulmonary research.
