Biography

Rishi R. Lulla, MD, MS, is the division director of pediatric hematology/oncology at Hasbro Children's Hospital. He is an internationally recognized expert in the care of children and young adults with brain and spinal cord tumors. After completing medical school at Boston University, he pursued residency and fellowship training at Northwestern University in Chicago. Dr. Lulla spent several years as an attending physician on the pediatric neuro-oncology team at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital in Chicago before moving to the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 2018. His current research activities are focused on translating laboratory findings into novel treatments for children with brain and spinal cord tumors. He has presented his findings on pediatric central nervous system tumors at local, national, and international levels, and has served as the principal investigator on multiple grant-sponsored research investigations involving novel clinical trials. He is also the executive chair of the Children’s Brain Tumor Tissue Consortium and an active member of the American Society of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology, the Children’s Oncology Group, and the Society for Neuro-Oncology.
