Biography

Ritambhara Singh is an Associate Professor of Computer Science at Brown University and a member of the Data Science team in the Center for Computational Molecular Biology. Her research lab develops machine learning methods aimed at data integration, model interpretation, and biological and biomedical applications. Before joining Brown, she was a post-doctoral researcher in the Noble Lab at the University of Washington. She earned her Ph.D. in 2018 from the University of Virginia under the guidance of Dr. Yanjun Qi. Her research focuses on creating integrative and interpretable machine learning and deep learning models addressing significant biological and clinical questions. Ritambhara has received multiple honors, including the NHGRI Genomic Innovator Award, the Richard B. Salomon Faculty Research Award, and the NSF CAREER award, to develop integrative explainable machine learning methods for heterogeneous health-related datasets. She serves as the co-Director of Graduate Studies for the Computational Biology Ph.D. program at Brown and teaches courses on deep learning.
