Biography

Rob Bell has extensive research experience modeling microporous materials, spanning over 30 years. He is a pioneer in applying computational chemistry techniques in this field. His current research interests include the structure and reactivity of zeolites and the design and optimization of materials for carbon capture. Rob serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Chemistry at University College London, where he has been since 2005. He previously held the position of Chairman of the British Zeolite Association from 2012 to 2015 and currently chairs the Structure Commission of the International Zeolite Association. His academic contributions are substantial, including several positions held at the Royal Institution of Great Britain, where he worked as a Senior Research Fellow and Assistant Director at the Davy Faraday Research Laboratory.
