Biography

Rob Larose is a lecturer at the Don Wright Faculty of Music at Western University. He studied classical percussion and has an extensive background in jazz drumming and Latin percussion. With over 25 years of experience, Rob has been a familiar fixture in London music, performing with numerous groups including Orchestra London and Pro Musica Chorus, as well as being part of various bands such as Antler River Project and Herencia Latina. He has toured Canada and the U.S. with the Celtic fusion group Rant Maggie Rant. Rob has been involved in music theatre, contributing to productions like Annie and Mamma Mia, while also running a private percussion studio and serving as a guest clinician for the Ontario Music Educators Association. Rob was also on the faculty of the National Music Camp of Canada from 1995-1999 and has authored a book on Latin Percussion techniques.
