Dr. Rob Ley

Biography

Rob Ley is an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California (USC) School of Architecture, where he teaches graduate and undergraduate design studios and seminars. He holds a Master of Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Ley is the founder of Rob Ley Studio, recognized for its experimental work and installations, including projects at notable venues like Storefront for Art and Architecture in New York and the Taubman Museum of Art. His work has attracted grants and awards, including an American's Arts Public Art Network Year in Review award and multiple AIA research grants. Ley has lectured and exhibited internationally on topics related to public art, design, and technology, engaging with institutions like Cooper Union and the American Institute in Vienna. He is also involved in teaching courses focused on digital fabrication, encouraging students to explore various fabrication methods and materials through hands-on workshops and research.
