Biography

Rob Moir joined the University of New Brunswick (UNB) Saint John in 1996 and serves as Associate Dean (Research and Special Projects) and Associate Professor of Economics within the Faculty of Business. He received a Bachelor of Arts and Science with Honours in Economics from McMaster University, a Master's degree from Queen's University, and a PhD from McMaster University. He has been a visiting research scholar at the University of Arizona and the Cognitive and Experimental Economics Laboratory at the University of Trento, as well as a visiting professor at Huazhong University of Science and Technology in China. Moir's research focuses on the role of cooperation in the economy, utilizing game theory, experimental, and behavioral economics. His work has touched on areas including environmental issues, market structure, governance, public good provision, and community economic development. Currently, he holds two research grants examining the economic impact of tourism in New Brunswick.
