Rob joined the Defence Studies Department at King's College London in 2025. He previously served as a Lecturer in Peace and Security at Durham University and was a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Hebrew University of Jerusalem and the University of Haifa. He earned his PhD in War Studies from King’s College London in 2018. Alongside academic outputs, Rob has written policy briefings for the Royal United Services Institute (RUSI) and has provided expert commentary for media outlets such as France 24, RTE News, and Al Jazeera, especially regarding the Syrian Civil War.
