Biography

Robbie is an associate professor with research interests in financial accounting and auditing. He works on a variety of research topics including firms' voluntary and mandatory disclosures, as well as nontraditional disclosures at the intersection of audit and financial accounting research. Robbie's research employs advanced analytical methods, machine learning, and natural language processing techniques, and has been published in premier accounting journals. Before entering academia, he spent four years in the advisory practice at KPMG LLP in the firm's Atlanta office. Robbie holds CPA and CIA certifications. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Lindsay, and their five children: James, Michael, Ann Marie, Elizabeth, and Andrew.
