Biography

Dr. Robert (Bob) Abraham is a practicing clinician and interventional radiologist with a primary expertise in endovascular treatment for liver cancer and vascular disease. His skills and experience cover various aspects of interventional radiology (IR), particularly in minimally invasive cancer therapies including Y-90 radioembolization, chemoembolization, and bland embolization. He is proficient in angioplasty and intravascular stenting for peripheral vascular disease as well as endovascular treatment for complex thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms. Dr. Abraham established the Uterine Fibroid Embolization program and the Y-90 Radioembolization program at QEII Hospital. He co-founded ABK Biomedical Inc., where he served as CEO, leading the company to raise significant equity investments and grant funding for the development of innovative Y-90 radioembolization products. His commitment to the field has been recognized through various leadership roles, including serving as Chief Examiner in Diagnostic Radiology for the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and President of the Canadian Association for Interventional Radiology (CAIR).
