Biography

Professor Bordley joined the University of Michigan (U-M) part-time in 2002 and full-time in 2016. He previously worked at Booz-Allen-Hamilton focusing on Army procurement decisions and served as NSF director of the Decision, Risk Management Sciences Program. Bordley held multiple roles at General Motors, where he led innovations in revenue management, cost, and profit analysis, along with dealer satisfaction driver analysis and product segmentation strategies. He has a strong foundation in systems engineering practices applied to vehicle design. Bordley is an active officer in the International Council on Systems Engineering and the Risk Section of the American Statistical Association, as well as a member of INFORMS and the Decision Analysis Society. He is a Fellow of INFORMS and the American Statistical Association, and a recognized expert in decision analysis and systems engineering.
