Robert M. Bradley has been with the University of Michigan since 1972, becoming a Professor of Dentistry in 1979. In 1992, he transitioned to the Department of Physiology at the U-M Medical School as a professor. He earned his undergraduate degrees from the Royal Dental Hospital, University of London, in 1963, a master's degree in Periodontics from the University of Washington in Seattle in 1966, and a doctorate from Florida State University in Tallahassee in 1970. Beyond his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Bradley serves as a principal investigator for current research projects and has been a reviewer for 13 scientific journals including the Journal of Dental Research. He has also chaired NIH grant review committees. In 2013, he was appointed President Mary Sue Coleman, recognizing his significant contribution to the University community, and was selected as a Senior Fellow of the Society of Fellows, an honor that acknowledges distinguished scholars and creative artists. Senior fellows participate in the intellectual community and mentor U-M postdoctoral fellows, playing important roles in selecting future scholars for the program.
