Dr. Robert Clark

Biography

Robert Clark is an Associate Professor at the Research School of Finance, Actuarial Studies and Statistics at the Australian National University. He has extensive experience in sample surveys, statistical ecology, and applied statistics, working on significant consulting projects. With 30 years of experience as a statistical consultant and researcher, he has held leadership roles in the Australian Bureau of Statistics and the University of Wollongong. Robert is an Accredited Statistician and an Elected Member of the International Statistical Institute. He has been an invited speaker at several conferences held by the Australian, Canadian, and American Statistical Associations and delivered the prestigious Ken Foreman Lecture for the Statistical Society of Australia. He is an associate editor for four journals of the Journal of the Royal Statistical Society Series and has authored a major textbook on model-based survey sampling along with 39 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters. Robert has successfully attracted substantial research funding through major contracts and grants, including ARC linkage grants and the Statistics New Zealand official statistics research grant. His research contributions span various projects involving Australian and New Zealand organizations.
