Biography

Robert Cooper is an Assistant Professor in the Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at Marquette University and the Medical College of Wisconsin. He obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering in 2009 and later earned a PhD in Biomedical Engineering in 2016, both from Marquette University. Following his education, he completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Cooper leads the Ocular and Computer Vision Laboratory, where his research focuses on imaging, analysis, and quantification of retinal structures in health and disease. His work aims to enhance the scientific understanding of the visual system while developing tools to assist clinicians and researchers in their endeavors. He is dedicated to advancing knowledge in the field and improving clinical outcomes through innovative research practices.
