Biography

Robert M. Dammon served as the ninth dean of the Tepper School from 2011 to 2020. He is a three-time recipient of the Tepper School's George Leland Bach Teaching Award and has taught numerous graduate-level classes in corporate finance, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate restructuring. Dammon has developed and led various executive education programs in corporate finance. He was a visiting associate professor of financial economics at the Fuqua School of Business at Duke University in 1995-96 and has received recognition as an 'Outstanding Teacher of the Year.' With extensive publications in prestigious finance and economics journals, including the American Economic Review and the Review of Financial Studies, Dammon's recent research focuses on lifetime savings and asset allocation. He has received the TIAA-CREF Paul Samuelson Award for Outstanding Scholarly Writing in Lifelong Financial Security and is a member of several professional associations, including the American Finance Association and the American Economic Association. His editorial experience includes serving as an associate editor for Financial Management and Management Science among others.
