Biography

Robert W. Dimand is a Professor of Economics at Brock University. He holds a PhD from Yale University, where he also earned his MPhil and MA in Economics, along with a BA in Economics History from McGill University. Dimand's research primarily focuses on Development Macroeconomics, the History of Game Theory, Women's Economics, and the Origins of the Efficient Markets Hypothesis. He has received multiple awards for his contributions to academia, including the Brock Chancellor’s Chair for Research Excellence from 2002 to 2005, the Faculty of Social Sciences Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2012, and the Faculty of Graduate Studies Mentoring Award in 2013. Dimand is associated with the Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics, and his work continues to address pivotal topics in the field.
