Biography

Robert W. Dimand is a Professor of Economics at Brock University, specializing in Development Macroeconomics and Game Theory. He holds a PhD, MPhil, and MA in Economics from Yale University and a BA in Economic History from McGill University. His research interests also encompass the history of economic thought and women's contributions to economics. Dimand has been awarded the Brock Chancellor’s Chair for Research Excellence from 2002 to 2005 and received the Faculty of Social Sciences Award for Excellence in Teaching in 2012, and the Faculty of Graduate Studies Mentoring Award in 2013. He is associated with the Cowles Foundation for Research in Economics and has contributed significantly to the academic community through various teaching and mentoring roles.
