Biography

Robert Duke is the Marlene Morton Meyerson Centennial Professor and head of Music Human Learning at the Sarah Ernest Butler School of Music, College of Fine Arts at the University of Texas at Austin. He is also a clinical professor at the Dell Medical School and serves as the director of the Center for Music Learning. He is noted for authoring Scribe 5, a behavior analysis software, and his contributions to the field include books like 'Intelligent Music Teaching: Essays on Core Principles of Effective Instruction' and 'Habits of Musicianship,' co-authored with Jim Byo from Louisiana State University. He has also collaborated with Art Markman, and co-hosts a public radio podcast called 'Guys Head', produced by KUT Radio Austin. He earned his Ph.D. from Florida State University.
