Professor Dr. Robert English

Biography

Robert English is an Associate Professor at USC Dornsife, specializing in International Relations, Slavic Languages and Literature, and Environmental Studies. His research focuses on Russia, the USSR, and Eastern Europe, particularly on regional relations, ethnicity, identity, and nationalism. English is currently working on a book-length study titled 'Serbian Brethren: History, Myth, Politics Russian National Identity.' Previously, he served as a policy analyst for the U.S. Department of Defense and the Committee for National Security. English has received multiple prestigious awards, including the National International Prize in 2001 for his contributions to the field and the Harold D. Lasswell Prize in 1996 from the American Political Science Association. He continues to contribute actively to the academic community and draws on a rich educational background with a Ph.D. from Princeton University.
