I direct the Social Interaction & Language (SoIL) Lab at Stanford University. Our research focuses on the cognitive mechanisms that allow people to flexibly communicate, collaborate, and coordinate work on problems using large-scale, multi-player web experiments and computational models of language and social reasoning. I am dedicated to exploring how language influences human interaction and problem-solving skills in a collaborative context. My academic background includes a Bachelor's degree in Cognitive Science and Mathematics from Indiana University and a PhD in Psychology from Stanford University. I have been actively involved in teaching and mentoring students in various courses related to linguistics and psychology. My research interests lie at the intersection of language, cognition, and social interaction, with a commitment to advancing the understanding of how these elements interplay in different environments.
