Professor Dr. Robert Huckman

Biography

Robert S. Huckman is the Albert J. Weatherhead III Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School, where he also serves as the Howard Cox Health Care Initiative Faculty Co-Chair and Senior Associate Dean for External Relations. Dr. Huckman's research focuses on the linkages between organizational characteristics and operational performance, particularly in the health care industry. He has published extensively in leading journals such as the American Economic Review and Harvard Business Review, and serves as an associate editor for Management Science. Alongside his academic roles, he has advised various private health care companies and participated in health policy discussions as a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research. He previously held faculty chairs and has a significant background in strategy operations consulting and technology management, having worked with Booz Allen & Hamilton and Stamos Associates, Inc. Huckman received his Ph.D. in Business Economics from Harvard University and his A.B. in Public Policy from Princeton University, graduating summa cum laude and as a Phi Beta Kappa member.
