Biography

Robert O. Keohane is a Professor of International Affairs, Emeritus at Princeton University, recognized for his extensive contributions to the field of political science. He is the author of several significant works, including 'Hegemony: Cooperation, Discord in the World Political Economy' (1984) and 'Power and Governance in a Partially Globalized World' (2002). In collaboration with Joseph S. Nye, Jr., he co-authored 'Power and Interdependence' (third edition, 2001) and, with Gary King and Sidney Verba, 'Designing Social Inquiry' (1994). His academic leadership has included serving as editor for the journal 'International Organization' and holding the presidency of the International Studies Association and the American Political Science Association. Keohane has received numerous accolades, such as the Grawemeyer Award for Ideas Improving World Order in 1989 and the Johan Skytte Prize in Political Science in 2005. He is a member of esteemed organizations including the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Philosophical Society, and the National Academy of Sciences. Additionally, he has been awarded honorary degrees from the University of Aarhus in Denmark and Science Po Paris, and he was a Harold Lasswell Fellow at the American Academy of Political and Social Science during 2007-08.
