Dr. Robert Kunz

Biography

Robert Kunz is a Professor at Penn State University, serving as the Associate Head of the Graduate Program. His research primarily focuses on various facets of fluid dynamics, including computational fluid dynamics, multiphase flows, and turbomachinery. He contributes significantly to the Applied Research Laboratory and the Center for Acoustics and Vibration. Kunz's extensive publication record encompasses studies on topics ranging from nuclear reactor thermal-hydraulics to predictive modeling of turbulent boundary layers. He is a noted expert in heat transfer analysis and has worked on innovative applications of Physics Informed Neural Networks (PINNs) in engineering contexts, particularly in fluid mechanics.
